Hemmi No. 201 For ultra-precision Slide Rule Duplex Bamboo 28 Scales NEW

This is a brand new, unopened package. It is very rare to find a new one with the inner bag unopened. 201 is a 20-inch slide rule that falls into the category of super-precision slide measures. Furthermore, as it is a brand-new, unopened item, it cannot be opened without hesitation.

As the design of weapons and munitions became popular from the Sino-Japanese War to the Pacific War, the need for a more precise slide rule than the 10-inch slide rule increased, and HEMMI released the ultra-precision slide rule No. 200 was an ultra-precision tape measure with a 16-inch scale divided into six sections on both sides for the C, D, and D scales, and its baseline length was 96 inches, only 4 inches short of 100 inches. It seems strange why they did not make it 100 inches. Was there some special circumstance that prevented them from making a body of a measuring tape with five 20-inch scales? On the other hand, this No. 201 has a scale length of 20 inches, but the baseline length is 80 inches, 16 inches shorter and reduced to 4 sections. I thought that the 96-inch baseline length had simply been reduced to 100 inches, but it turned out to be a completely different scale, not a renewal with the addition of the L, A, and K scales instead of a slightly less accurate one. 200 was a one-off special size with a slightly shorter base body than the 20-inch double-sided tape measure No. 279D, and it was either too difficult to produce them separately or they were made to unify the bodies of 20-inch tape measures in order to reduce costs. 201 is probably the one that was created to unify the 20-inch calculation scale body in order to reduce costs.

However, since it was released at a bad time and just coincided with the rise of calculators and other products, perhaps only one lot or so was produced, which may have remained in circulation inventory for a long time. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - Japan, US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. Thank you for your understanding.
