Pickett N600-ES Slide Rule Same Model-Style Buzz Aldrin Took to Moon on Apollo
Here is a Pickett Model N600-ES slide rule with case. It is identical (same Pickett logo and tension springs) to the one Buzz Aldrin carried with him to the moon on the Apollo 11 mission. Type "buzz aldrin pickett slide rule" into an Internet search to see Heritage Auctions page. The slide rule is in good condition. All of the numbering is clear and legible. The cursor is also in good shape and is free from any breaks and cracks. The metal screws and end brackets show a little dullness. The case is in good condition, showing some light scratches, creases, and other marks. There are no names, etc. Added to the slide rule or case.
The slide rule is made of aluminum and measures approximately 6 inches long by just over 1 inch wide. The slide rule has the following scales: LL1, A [B, ST, T, S, C] D, DI, K and LL2, DF [CF, Ln, L, CI, C] D, LL3 You can see the actual scales by clicking on the pictures.
